DAILY LESSON LOGS for TERM 2 WEEK 1 | September 16–18, 2026 | Key Stage 2 (Grades 4 - 6)

Teachers handling Key Stage 2 learners in Grades 4 to 6 may now prepare for the opening week of Term 2 with these Ready-Made Daily Lesson Logs (DLLs) for Term 2, Week 1, covering September 16–18, 2026.

These ready-made lesson plans are developed using the ILAW Framework of the Department of Education (DepEd). The framework provides a structured approach to lesson delivery and helps teachers organize learning experiences in a clear, purposeful, and learner-centered manner.

By following the DepEd ILAW Framework, the DLLs are designed to support teachers in delivering lessons that are aligned with the intended learning competencies while still allowing room for contextualization, differentiation, remediation, and enrichment based on the actual needs of learners.

TERM 2 – WEEK 1 COVERAGE

Dates: September 16–18, 2026
Key Stage: Key Stage 2
Grade Levels: Grades 4, 5, and 6
School Year: 2026–2027
Lesson Framework: DepEd ILAW Framework

The ready-made DLLs provide teachers with a structured guide for delivering lessons based on the prescribed learning standards and competencies for the week.

Each lesson is organized using the ILAW Framework, helping teachers maintain a logical and purposeful flow of instruction—from activating prior knowledge and introducing new concepts to facilitating deeper understanding, applying learning, and assessing learner progress.

USING THE DEPED ILAW FRAMEWORK

The ILAW Framework provides teachers with a more systematic structure for planning and conducting classroom instruction.

For Key Stage 2 learners, lessons require opportunities not only to recall information but also to explain concepts, analyze situations, apply skills, collaborate with classmates, and demonstrate learning through meaningful tasks.

Using an ILAW-based lesson structure helps teachers sequence these learning experiences more effectively and maintain alignment between learning objectives, classroom activities, assessment, and expected learner outcomes.

It also provides flexibility for teachers to adjust instructional strategies based on learner readiness, interests, learning difficulties, and classroom conditions.

These ready-made DLLs therefore serve as practical planning references for teachers while maintaining the important role of teacher judgment and contextualization in actual classroom implementation.

SUPPORTING LEARNING IN KEY STAGE 2

Learners in Grades 4 to 6 are expected to develop increasingly complex knowledge and skills across different learning areas.

At this stage, classroom instruction may include more opportunities for:

  • independent and collaborative learning;
  • critical and creative thinking;
  • problem-solving and application activities;
  • reading, writing, and communication tasks;
  • performance-based activities;
  • formative assessment and feedback; and
  • remediation and enrichment based on learner performance.

The ready-made DLLs may be modified to accommodate these learning needs while retaining the overall structure provided by the DepEd ILAW Framework.

Disclaimer: These materials are shared for educational and reference purposes. While the lesson plans are structured using the DepEd ILAW Framework, teachers remain responsible for reviewing, modifying, and contextualizing the DLLs according to official curriculum requirements, school directives, and the actual needs of their learners.
