Walang Pasok: Face-to-Face Classes Suspended in Several Areas on Friday, September 4

MANILA, Philippines — Face-to-face classes have been suspended in several areas on Friday, September 4, 2026, as continuous rains brought by the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat continue to affect parts of the country.

Local government units announced the suspension of in-person classes as a precautionary measure amid persistent rainfall and the possible risk of flooding and other weather-related hazards.

Below is the list of areas with announced class suspensions:

Pampanga

• Apalit – Face-to-face classes suspended in all levels, public and private schools.

• Guagua – Face-to-face classes suspended in all levels, public and private schools, until Saturday, September 5.

• Minalin – Face-to-face classes suspended in all levels, public and private schools. Classes will shift to alternative modes of learning.

• City of San Fernando – Face-to-face classes suspended in all levels, public and private schools, including teaching and non-teaching personnel.

• San Simon – Face-to-face classes suspended in all levels, public and private schools.

• Sta. Ana – Face-to-face classes suspended in all levels, public and private schools, until Saturday, September 5. Classes will shift to alternative modes of learning.

• Sto. Tomas – Face-to-face classes suspended in all levels, public and private schools.

Tarlac

Face-to-face classes are suspended in all levels in public and private schools throughout the province until Saturday, September 5.

Benguet

• Atok – Face-to-face classes suspended from preschool to senior high school, both public and private schools.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said monsoon rains are expected to continue affecting the western portions of Luzon and the Visayas through Sunday.

Residents, parents, learners, and school personnel are advised to continue monitoring announcements from their respective local government units and schools, as additional suspensions may be declared depending on prevailing weather conditions.
