Teachers from Grades 1 to 12 may now prepare for the opening week of Term 2 with these Ready-Made Daily Lesson Logs (DLLs) for Term 2, Week 1, covering September 16–18, 2026.
These lesson plans are prepared for Key Stages 1 to 4 and are developed using the ILAW Framework of the Department of Education (DepEd). The framework provides a structured and purposeful approach to lesson delivery while giving teachers enough flexibility to adjust instruction according to learner needs, classroom context, available resources, and school-level requirements.
The ready-made DLLs are intended to help teachers organize their lessons more efficiently as they begin the second term of School Year 2026–2027.
TERM 2 – WEEK 1 COVERAGE
Dates: September 16–18, 2026
School Year: 2026–2027
Coverage: Grades 1–12
Key Stages: Key Stages 1, 2, 3, and 4
Lesson Framework: DepEd ILAW Framework
The DLLs provide teachers with a structured guide based on the prescribed learning standards and competencies for the week.
Each lesson follows the ILAW Framework, helping teachers maintain a logical progression of instruction—from connecting prior knowledge and introducing new learning to developing understanding, applying skills, and assessing learner progress.
USING THE DEPED ILAW FRAMEWORK
One of the key features of these ready-made lesson plans is the use of the DepEd ILAW Framework.
The framework helps teachers structure lessons in a way that keeps learning activities connected to the intended objectives and competencies. It provides a systematic flow that supports both teaching and assessment while maintaining room for teacher creativity and professional judgment.
Through an ILAW-based lesson structure, teachers can more effectively:
- connect prior learning with new concepts;
- establish clear lesson objectives;
- facilitate meaningful and engaging learning activities;
- provide opportunities for application and deeper understanding;
- check learner progress through appropriate assessment;
- provide remediation or enrichment when necessary; and
- contextualize learning according to local and classroom realities.
These DLLs should therefore be viewed as practical instructional guides rather than fixed lesson scripts.
WHY READY-MADE DLLs CAN HELP TEACHERS
Preparing daily lessons requires considerable time, particularly for teachers handling several classes, learning areas, school programs, reports, and other professional responsibilities.
Ready-made DLLs can provide a useful starting point by giving teachers an organized lesson structure that they can review, improve, and adapt before implementation.
These materials can help teachers spend more time on important instructional decisions such as learner engagement, differentiated instruction, assessment, feedback, remediation, and enrichment.
However, the availability of ready-made materials does not remove the need for teachers to carefully examine each lesson before using it in the classroom.
IMPORTANT REMINDER TO TEACHERS
Before using the Term 2 Week 1 Daily Lesson Logs, teachers are advised to:
- Review the learning standards, competencies, and objectives.
- Check the sequence of activities under the ILAW Framework.
- Review the learning resources and assessment tasks.
- Adjust lesson pacing based on available instructional time.
- Modify activities according to learner readiness and classroom conditions.
- Localize and contextualize examples whenever appropriate.
- Incorporate differentiated instruction when necessary.
- Provide remediation and enrichment based on learner performance.
- Ensure alignment with current DepEd curriculum requirements and school-level instructions.
Teacher professional judgment remains essential in determining how each lesson should be implemented in the actual classroom.
