GRADE 6 | TERM 1 EXAMINATION With TOS (SY 2026-2027)

The Grade 6 Term 1 Examination Materials are designed to help teachers determine how well learners have achieved the expected competencies for the first term. The assessment brings together the major skills and concepts developed during the latter part of the term while also checking important learning from earlier weeks.

The tests mainly cover the competencies taught from Weeks 7–11. Selected critical competencies from the previous weeks of Term 1 are likewise included to provide a more balanced assessment of learners’ retention, understanding, and ability to apply what they have learned.

The examination content is anchored on the Term 1 Budget of Work and the actual lessons delivered in the classroom. This alignment helps ensure that learners are assessed on competencies that have been introduced, discussed, and practiced during the term.

40 Questions Per Subject

Each Grade 6 subject examination contains 40 multiple-choice items. The questions are prepared with Bloom’s Taxonomy as a guide, incorporating different levels of cognitive demand—from recalling and understanding information to applying and analyzing concepts in appropriate situations.

Teachers may use these materials as a ready reference when preparing their Term 1 assessments. Since instructional pacing and learner needs may vary from one class to another, teachers are encouraged to review the coverage carefully and modify any item that does not correspond with the competencies actually completed.
