The Grade 7 Term 1 Examination Materials are prepared to provide teachers with a structured assessment of learners’ progress during the first term. The tests focus on the competencies developed in the latter part of the term while also revisiting essential skills and concepts introduced earlier.
The examination coverage centers on the learning competencies from Weeks 7–11, together with selected critical competencies from the previous weeks of Term 1. This allows the assessment to measure both recent learning and learners’ ability to retain and apply foundational knowledge acquired earlier in the term.
To maintain alignment with classroom instruction, the test content is based on the Term 1 Budget of Work and the actual lessons taught. Teachers may therefore use these materials as a practical reference in preparing for the end-of-term assessment.
50-Item Multiple-Choice Tests
Each Grade 7 subject examination consists of 50 multiple-choice items. The questions are developed using Bloom’s Taxonomy as a framework, with items intended to assess different levels of cognitive skills, including remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, and other higher-order thinking processes appropriate for Grade 7 learners.
Teachers are encouraged to examine the coverage before administration and make adjustments when needed, especially when lesson pacing, completed competencies, or classroom circumstances differ.
