GRADE 11 | TERM 1 EXAMINATION With TOS (SY 2026-2027)

For Grade 11 learners, the Term 1 Examination serves as an opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge and skills developed across the first term. These assessment materials were prepared to help teachers evaluate learning outcomes in a structured and comprehensive manner.

The examination places greater emphasis on the competencies covered during Weeks 7–11, while also incorporating selected critical competencies from the earlier weeks of Term 1. This approach allows the test to assess not only recently discussed lessons but also important concepts and skills that learners are expected to retain and apply.

The content of each examination is aligned with the Term 1 Budget of Work and takes into account the actual lessons taught during classroom instruction. Teachers may use the materials as a guide in determining how well learners have achieved the expected competencies for the term.

60-Item Multiple-Choice Format

Each Grade 11 subject examination is composed of 60 multiple-choice items. The questions are developed with Bloom’s Taxonomy as a framework, allowing the assessment to include varying levels of cognitive demand—from recalling and understanding concepts to applying, analyzing, and evaluating information where appropriate.

Considering the more advanced learning expectations at the Senior High School level, the examinations also aim to provide opportunities for learners to demonstrate deeper understanding and sound reasoning in responding to subject-specific situations and problems.

Teachers are encouraged to review the examination coverage carefully before administration. Adjustments may be made to ensure that the test accurately reflects the competencies completed, the sequence of lessons, and the learning experiences of their respective classes.
