Face-to-face classes will remain suspended in selected areas of Pampanga and Benguet on Thursday, August 27, 2026, as local authorities continue to implement precautionary measures amid heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon or habagat.
Affected schools will shift to alternative learning modalities while in-person classes are suspended.
Pampanga
- San Simon – No face-to-face classes in public and private schools; classes will shift to alternative learning modalities until August 28.
- Santo Tomas – No face-to-face classes in public and private schools; alternative learning modalities will be implemented until August 28.
- Sasmuan - No face-to-face classes in public and private schools, all levels; alternative learning modalities will be implemented.
Benguet
- Kibungan – No face-to-face classes from preschool to senior high school; learners will shift to alternative learning modalities until August 28.
Meanwhile, in Botolan, Zambales, classes and government work are suspended on August 27 in observance of the Feast of Saint Monica, the municipality's patron saint.
Parents, learners, and school personnel are advised to continue monitoring official announcements from their respective local government units and schools for possible updates or changes.
