Several local government units (LGUs) have announced the suspension of in-person classes on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, due to the effects of the enhanced southwest monsoon or habagat.
Affected schools will temporarily shift to alternative learning modalities where applicable to ensure the continuity of learning while face-to-face classes are suspended.
Pampanga
- San Simon – No in-person classes at all levels, public and private, from August 24–28, 2026; shift to alternative learning modalities.
- Sto. Tomas – No in-person classes at all levels, public and private, from August 24–28, 2026; shift to alternative learning modalities.
- Minalin – No face-to-face classes at all levels, public and private, on August 25, 2026; schools are encouraged to implement alternative delivery modes.
Pangasinan
- Infanta – No in-person classes at all levels, public and private.
- Mangaldan – No in-person classes from pre-school to high school, public and private.
Benguet
- Atok – No in-person classes from pre-school to senior high school.
- Kapangan – No in-person classes from pre-school to elementary.
Abra
- Whole Province – No in-person classes at all levels.
The list may still be updated as more LGUs release official advisories. Students, parents, teachers, and other concerned individuals are advised to monitor announcements from their respective LGUs and schools for the latest information.
