Phonics Instruction: Teach students how to decode words by connecting sounds to letters. Phonics helps students understand the relationship between letters and sounds, making it easier for them to read unfamiliar words.
Interactive Read-Alouds: Engage students in interactive read-alouds where you model reading strategies, ask questions, and encourage discussions about the text. This helps develop comprehension skills and a love for reading.
Parental Involvement: Foster a partnership with parents by sharing reading strategies and activities they can do at home to support their child's reading development. Encourage parents to read with their children regularly and celebrate reading milestones together.
