WALANG PASOK: Class Suspensions for Thursday, August 20, 2026

MANILA, Philippines — Several local government units have announced the suspension of classes for Thursday, August 20, 2026, as the southwest monsoon or habagat continues to affect parts of the country.

In some areas, schools have been directed to shift to alternative learning modes to ensure that learning may continue despite the suspension of face-to-face classes.

Laguna

Biñan – All levels, public and private; shift to alternative learning modes

Pampanga

Macabebe – All levels, public and private; shift to alternative mode of learning

San Simon – All levels, public and private; shift to alternative mode of learning

Sto. Tomas – All levels, public and private; shift to alternative mode of learning

Pangasinan

Aguilar – All levels, public and private

Students, parents, and school personnel are advised to continue monitoring announcements from their respective local government units and schools for possible additional suspensions.
