The Department of Education (DepEd) has issued a memorandum outlining the nationwide administration of the End-of-the-School-Year (EOSY) Assessments for School Year 2025–2026. Dated February 2, 2026, the directive provides guidance to regional directors, schools division superintendents, and regional and division focal persons on the conduct, coverage, and reporting of the assessments.
According to the memorandum, the EOSY assessments will be administered from February 18 to March 18, 2026 to learners from Grades 1 to 10. These assessments are intended to measure learners’ competencies in key areas of literacy and numeracy and to generate data that will help improve teaching and learning outcomes across schools.
Three major assessment tools will be used:
- Comprehensive Rapid Literacy Assessment (CRLA) – to be administered to Grades 1 to 3 learners.
- Philippine Informal Reading Inventory (Phil-IRI) – to be given to Grades 4 to 10 learners.
- Rapid Mathematics Assessment (RMA) – to be administered to Grades 1 to 10 learners.
DepEd also provided official links to the assessment materials to ensure standard and uniform implementation across all schools.
Before the actual administration, the Bureau of Learning Delivery (BLD) will conduct an orientation for regional and division focal persons. Regional and schools division offices are likewise directed to designate representatives who can provide technical assistance to schools, particularly in administering the assessments and handling data submission.
All schools are required to encode and submit the results of the EOSY assessments through the official submission portal not later than March 20, 2026. This step is crucial to ensure timely consolidation and analysis of national assessment data.
DepEd emphasized the importance of the immediate dissemination of this memorandum so that all concerned offices and schools can prepare accordingly. For questions or concerns, schools and offices are advised to coordinate directly with the Bureau of Learning Delivery via its official email.
With this initiative, DepEd reinforces its commitment to evidence-based planning and continuous improvement of basic education through systematic assessment of learners’ progress in reading and mathematics.
