For School Year 2025–2026, the Department of Education (DepEd) has released updated Performance Management and Evaluation System (PMES) Tools for teachers. These tools are designed to align with the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) and to guide educators in demonstrating competencies expected at their respective career stages — Proficient, Highly Proficient, and Distinguished Teachers.
The updated PMES Tools ensure that teachers’ performance is measured fairly, comprehensively, and consistently across key result areas (KRAs), emphasizing professional growth, learner outcomes, and school improvement.
The PMES Tool for Proficient Teachers focuses on strengthening classroom practice and the application of the PPST at the individual teacher level. It serves as both a self-assessment and supervisory evaluation instrument.
