All public school teachers under the Department of Education shall receive a P1,500 incentive which is composed of P1,000 for World Teachers' Day and P500 for medical examination expenses.
These incentives will be given not earlier than October 5, 2020, which according to DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones is a part of the effort to protect their health, safety, and well-being.
In addition to this, DepEd Usec. Annalyn Sevilla stressed that DepEd personnel who will be infected by the COVID-19 can use the benefit packages of PhilHealth in paying for their medical expenses.
